These prompts can be user-generated<strong> questions or instructions<\/strong> provided by software programmers to elicit <strong>specific responses<\/strong> from the algorithm.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Why is there a need for a pronoun for AI tools?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>There is a shared agreement that <strong>misrepresentation of AI&#8217;s identity<\/strong> seems<strong> manipulative<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Experts propose that restricting AI from using<strong> first person pronouns and other human pronouns <\/strong>could decrease cases of <strong>AI mistaken identity<\/strong>. It will make it easier to distinguish machine-generated text.<\/p>\n<p>This is crucial because pronouns play a significant role in <strong>defining identity<\/strong> in today&#8217;s context.<\/p>\n<p>Even ChatGPT acknowledges that granting AI a distinct identity can help <strong>clarify its role and prevent confusion<\/strong> with human beings.<\/p>\n<p>AI requires pronouns to establish an identity that is distinct from that of humans. For <strong>ethical and security reasons<\/strong>, human beings should know that <strong>conversing with a bot.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><strong>What are the prevalent practices by big companies having AI based products?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Apple has stereotyped Siri with a <strong>feminine-sounding voic<\/strong>e, although it offers <strong>masculine and gender-neutral alternatives.<\/strong> The aim is to establish an<strong> emotional connection<\/strong> with users.<\/p>\n<p>The original default version of Siri unintentionally reflected <strong>society&#8217;s gender assumptions<\/strong>.
