Combined with the allure of s<strong>ocial media fame<\/strong>, it is causing a shift in the <strong>standards of political and social norms, values, and ethics. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There is the growing trend of polarisation based on cultural, ethnic, linguistic, and religious differences.<\/p>\n<p>Social media platforms are filled with videos <strong>showcasing the divisions<\/strong> that have seeped down to even the school level. The armed forces recruit their personnel from this environment.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Way forward-<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There is a need to <strong>detoxify the mass<\/strong> that enters at the training institution level. They need to be taught that in the armed forces, all Indians are seen as j<strong>ust Indians. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Existing <strong>organised and structured training programs<\/strong> should be <strong>thoroughly reviewed<\/strong>. The <strong>actions of junior leaders<\/strong> play a crucial role as <strong>effective training tools<\/strong> in this regard.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>reduced training duration<\/strong> for enlisted Agniveers presents a new challenge in this regard.
