{"id":255261,"date":"2023-08-08T20:23:07","date_gmt":"2023-08-08T14:53:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.forumias.com\/?p=255261"},"modified":"2023-08-08T20:23:07","modified_gmt":"2023-08-08T14:53:07","slug":"meri-life-mera-swachh-seher-campaign","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/meri-life-mera-swachh-seher-campaign\/","title":{"rendered":"Meri LiFE, Mera Swachh Seher Campaign"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><b>Source:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The post is based on the article <\/span><b>\u201cMeri LiFE, Mera Swachh Seher Campaign\u00a0<\/b><b>\u201d\u00a0 <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">published in <\/span><b>PIB on 8th August 2023.<\/b><\/p>\n<h2><b>What is the News?<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Minister of State for Housing &amp; Urban Affairs has informed Rajya Sabha about the \u2018Meri LiFE, Mera Swachh Shehar\u2019 campaign.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>What is the Meri LiFE, Mera Swachh Shehar campaign?<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><b>Launched by: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) in collaboration with the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Aim: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To spread awareness regarding Mission LiFE and to nudge behaviour change of citizens to minimize waste generation, promote resource conservation and contribute to a cleaner and greener environment by adopting \u2018Reduce, Reuse, Recycle\u2019 (RRR) in their everyday life.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Features<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: The campaign focused on empowering Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) to set up \u2018Reduce, Reuse, Recycle\u2019 (RRR) Centres as a one-stop solution for citizens, institutions, commercial enterprises etc. to deposit unused or used plastic items, clothes, footwear, books and toys.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Duration of the campaign<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: The campaign was launched on 15th May 2023 for the period of 3 weeks till World Environment Day 2023 on 5<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">th<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> June, 2023.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>\u2013 Note: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The campaign is not a scheme.It is a public outreach and mass engagement campaign being implemented by ULBs under Swachh Bharat Mission \u2013 Urban (SBM-U) 2.0.No separate organizations have been formed by Government of India for this campaign.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Source: The post is based on the article \u201cMeri LiFE, Mera Swachh Seher Campaign\u00a0\u201d\u00a0 published in PIB on 8th August 2023.
