Padmanabhan, former executive director of the RBI<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Mandate: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To understand <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the reasons for shifting of Indian startups outside India and suggestions to avoid externalization of startups in the future and also to persuade startups that are presently externalized to redomicile back.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>What are the recommendations given by the committee?<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The committee has identified challenges and recommended measures for the development of the <\/span><b>International Innovation Hub<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> at GIFT IFSC.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It has recommended <\/span><b>aligning the tax and regulatory laws within the IFSC<\/b> <b>with international best practices <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">to create an environment that actively incentivizes and supports holding company structures.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Source: The post is based on the article \u201cCommittee of Experts to \u2018Onshoring the Indian Innovation to GIFT IFSC\u201d \u00a0published in PIB on 25th August 2023.
