National Institute of Advanced Studies(NIAS) is a premier institute in India engaged in interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary research in natural sciences, social sciences, arts and humanities.It was founded by J. R. D. Tata in 1988.<\/span><\/p>\n

What is the project launched by NIAS <\/b>\u00a0to monitor and predict the city\u2019s air quality?<\/b><\/h2>\n

The pilot project has been launched in Bangalore. It combines geospatial artificial intelligence (GeoAI) and random forest technology to monitor and predict air quality in the city.<\/span><\/p>\n

The random forest algorithm combines data from various air quality monitoring stations to predict the Air Quality Index.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

GeoAI uses technology like artificial intelligence, satellite imagery, and mobile data to identify sources of air pollution.<\/span><\/p>\n
