{"id":258130,"date":"2023-08-31T21:19:42","date_gmt":"2023-08-31T15:49:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.forumias.com\/?p=258130"},"modified":"2023-08-31T21:19:42","modified_gmt":"2023-08-31T15:49:42","slug":"aatmanirbhar-bharat-rozgar-yojana-abry-surpasses-employment-generation-target","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/aatmanirbhar-bharat-rozgar-yojana-abry-surpasses-employment-generation-target\/","title":{"rendered":"Aatmanirbhar Bharat Rozgar Yojana (ABRY) Surpasses Employment Generation Target"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><b>Source:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The post is based on the article <\/span><b>\u201c<\/b><b>Aatmanirbhar Bharat Rozgar Yojana (ABRY) Surpasses Employment Generation Target<\/b><b>\u201d\u00a0 <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">published in <\/span><b>PIB on 30th August 2023<\/b><\/p>\n<h2><b>What is the News?<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Aatmanirbhar Bharat Rozgar Yojana(ABRY) has exceeded its initial employment generation goals showcasing its success in fostering job creation and recovery during the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>What is Aatmanirbhar Bharat Rozgar Yojana(ABRY)?<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><b>Launched on: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1st October, 2020\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Aim: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To incentivize employers for creation of new employment and restoration of loss of employment during Covid-19 pandemic.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Benefits under the scheme: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Under the scheme, the government of India for a period of two years, is crediting both the employee\u2019 share (12% of wages) and employer\u2019s share (12% of wages) of contribution for establishments with up to 1000 employees.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2013 For establishments with over 1000 employees, only the employee&#8217;s EPF contributions (12% of wages) were covered in respect of new employees.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Eligibility for benefits<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: An employee drawing a monthly wage of less than Rs. 15000\/- who was not working in any establishment registered with the Employees\u2019 Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) before 1st October, 2020.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2013 The employees who lost their job during Covid-19 pandemic and did not join any EPF covered establishment upto 30.09.2020.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Duration of the scheme: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The scheme commenced from 1st October 2020 and registration was open for eligible employers and new employees upto 31st March, 2022.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Achievements of the scheme:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The scheme had set a target to benefit approximately 7.18 million employees across India.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2013 As of July 31, 2023, the ABRY has already achieved an enrolment of over 7.58 million new employees, surpassing its initial employment generation target.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Source: The post is based on the article \u201cAatmanirbhar Bharat Rozgar Yojana (ABRY) Surpasses Employment Generation Target\u201d\u00a0 published in PIB on 30th August 2023 What is the News?
