The rise has been attributed to high food and fuel prices.<\/li><li>Wholesale Price Inflation tracks changes in the\nprice of goods in stages before the retail level i.e. goods that are sold in\nbulk and traded between organizations instead of consumers.<\/li><li>It is measured by the Wholesale Price Index. The\nindex basket of the WPI covers commodities falling under the three major groups\nnamely Primary Articles, Fuel and Power and Manufactured products.
