{"id":259078,"date":"2023-09-07T19:41:30","date_gmt":"2023-09-07T14:11:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.forumias.com\/?p=259078"},"modified":"2023-10-08T12:27:08","modified_gmt":"2023-10-08T06:57:08","slug":"union-minister-launches-the-malaviya-mission-teachers-training-programme-by-university-grants-commission","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/union-minister-launches-the-malaviya-mission-teachers-training-programme-by-university-grants-commission\/","title":{"rendered":"Union Minister launches the Malaviya Mission &#8211; Teachers Training Programme by University Grants Commission"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><b>Source: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The post is based on the article<\/span><b> \u201cUnion Minister <\/b><b>launches the Malaviya Mission &#8211; Teachers Training Programme by University Grants Commission\u201d<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> published in<\/span><b> PIB on 6th September 2023<\/b><\/p>\n<h2><b>What is the News?<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Union Minister for Education has launched the Malaviya Mission.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>What is the Malaviya Mission?<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Malaviya Mission is a Teachers Training Programme by the University Grants Commission.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Aim:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> To provide tailored training programmes for teachers and to improve the capacity building of faculty members in higher educational institutions.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2013 To improve the quality of teachers\u2019 training, build leadership skills in teachers and help realize the goals of <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">National Education Policy (NEP).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Features:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The mission will ensure continuous professional development and help in building capacities of 15 lakh teachers of HEIs through 111 Malaviya Mission centers (<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">formerly known as Human Resource Development Centers (HRDCs))<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2013 The capacity building under the Mission will be mapped to the credit framework to ensure career progression pathways for educators.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Themes<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: The themes identified for course curriculum for Capacity building of Faculty Members in HEIs include: Multidisciplinary Education, Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS), Academic Leadership, Research and Development, Skill Development, Student Diversity among others.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2013 The three main themes that were discussed during India\u2019s G20 Presidency: deployment of technology in the use of education, achieving sustainable development goals and women-led development are also to be incorporated in the Teachers Training Programmes.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Source: The post is based on the article \u201cUnion Minister launches the Malaviya Mission &#8211; Teachers Training Programme by University Grants Commission\u201d published in PIB on 6th September 2023 What is the News?
