What is the News?<\/b><\/h2>\n

G20 leaders have endorsed the significance of the \u2018Goa Roadmap for Tourism\u2019 as a path towards achieving sustainable development goals (SDGs).<\/span><\/p>\n

What is the Goa Roadmap for Tourism?<\/b><\/h2>\n

The \u2018Goa Roadmap\u2019 is an outcome of India\u2019s G20 Tourism Track.It is a blueprint for sustainable global tourism.<\/span><\/p>\n

It is aligned with the theme of India\u2019s G20 Presidency and underscores the role of tourism in society, the economy, and environmental efforts.<\/span><\/p>\n

The roadmap focuses on five interconnected priorities. They are: green tourism; digitisation; destination management; skills development and support for tourism micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs).<\/span><\/p>\n

These priorities have been endorsed by all G20 countries, emphasizing their commitment to achieving sustainable, resilient, and inclusive tourism.<\/span><\/p>\n

What is the <\/b>\u2018Tourism for Tomorrow\u2019 Initiative?<\/b><\/h2>\n

It will be launched by the Ministry of Tourism to identify best practices and case studies aligned with five priorities of G20 Goa roadmap which have successfully been implemented by States, Destinations and Industry Stakeholders.These best practices can be replicated and scaled up across the country.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The competition will be launched on World Tourism Day on September 27.<\/span><\/p>\n

What is the Travel for LiFE initiative?<\/b><\/h2>\n

The Travel for LiFE initiative is inspired by the Prime Minister’s vision of LiFE (Lifestyle for Environment).<\/span><\/p>\n

This initiative encourages tourists and tourist businesses to take simple yet impactful actions for environmental protection and climate action, aligning with the\u00a0 program’s goal of promoting responsible and sustainable tourism.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
