The President of India will inaugurate the first ‘Global Symposium on Farmers’ Rights’ (GSFR) at the ICAR Convention Centre, National Agricultural Science Centre Complex in New Delhi.<\/span><\/p>\n

What is the Global Symposium on Farmers’ Rights'(GSFR)?<\/b><\/h2>\n

Organized by: <\/b>Secretariat of the International Treaty on Plant Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture (International Treaty) of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), Rome.<\/span><\/p>\n

Hosted by: <\/b>Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare in collaboration with Protection of Plant Varieties and Farmers\u2019 Rights (PPVFR) Authority, Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) among others.<\/span><\/p>\n

Aim:<\/b> To contribute to the understanding of the challenges and opportunities of implementing farmers\u2019 rights by the signatory countries and other stakeholders.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Significance:<\/b> India is hosting its first ‘Global Symposium on Farmers’ Rights’.<\/span><\/p>\n
