{"id":259802,"date":"2023-09-13T20:15:48","date_gmt":"2023-09-13T14:45:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.forumias.com\/?p=259802"},"modified":"2023-10-08T08:40:07","modified_gmt":"2023-10-08T03:10:07","slug":"maritime-information-sharing-workshop-2023","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/maritime-information-sharing-workshop-2023\/","title":{"rendered":"Maritime information sharing workshop 2023"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><b>Source: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The post is based on the article <\/span><b>\u201cMaritime information sharing workshop 2023<\/b><b>\u201d\u00a0 <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">published in<\/span><b> PIB on 12th September 2023<\/b><\/p>\n<h2><b>What is the News?<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">India will be hosting the three-day Maritime Information Sharing Workshop 2023 (MISW 23).<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>What is Maritime Information Sharing Workshop 2023 (MISW 23)?<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><b>Hosted by: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Gurugram-based Indian Navy\u2019s Information Fusion Centre \u2013 Indian Ocean Region (IFC-IOR).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Aim: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To bolster collaboration, cooperation and information sharing among partner countries for a safer, peaceful, and prosperous Indian Ocean Region.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Theme:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u201cAdvancing Maritime Security for a Sustainable Future\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Participating countries<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: 31 countries are participating in the workshop.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Note:<\/strong> These 31 countries are of the Indian Ocean Rim Association (IORA) and signatories to the Djibouti Code of Conduct\/Jeddah Amendment (DCoC\/JA).<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>What is the Djibouti Code of Conduct(DCOC)?<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Djibouti Code of Conduct(DCOC) was established in 2009.It is a grouping on maritime matters aimed at repression of piracy and armed robbery against ships in the Western Indian Ocean Region, the Gulf of Aden and the Red Sea.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">India has joined the Djibouti Code of Conduct as Observer in 2020.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Source: The post is based on the article \u201cMaritime information sharing workshop 2023\u201d\u00a0 published in PIB on 12th September 2023 What is the News?
