Indian Army has inducted s<\/span>ix hundred indigenously manufactured self-neutralizing anti-tank mines known as “Vibhav\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

What is Vibhav?<\/b><\/h2>\n

Vibhav is an indigenously manufactured self-neutralizing anti-tank mine.<\/span><\/p>\n

Developed by:<\/b> Indian Army <\/span>in a joint venture with the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO).<\/span><\/p>\n

Purpose:<\/b> It is designed to provide mobility kill against all enemy armoured vehicles.<\/span><\/p>\n

Key Features:\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

Vibhav is constructed from modern plastic material, providing strength and durability for storage, handling, and use in various field conditions.<\/span><\/p>\n

It can be deployed either manually or mechanically.<\/span><\/p>\n

It incorporates a range of safety and activation mechanisms to ensure safe handling, effectiveness against targets, and reliability.<\/span><\/p>\n

It features integrated explosive, mechanical, and electronic safety components, prioritizing operator safety.<\/span><\/p>\n

The mine includes an electronic anti-handling and anti-lift device (EAHALD) that remains active for 120 days once armed.<\/span><\/p>\n
