What is the News?<\/b><\/h2>\n

The Ministry of Ayush has been adopting and propagating eco-friendly methods to reduce carbon emissions and environmental pollution aligned with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The recently concluded WHO Traditional Medicine Global Summit held at Gandhinagar, Gujarat is an example of that.This summit helped in the reduction of approximately 72,960 Kg of CO2 equivalent emission.<\/span><\/p>\n

What are the eco-friendly methods adopted at the <\/b>WHO Traditional Medicine Global Summit?<\/b><\/h2>\n

Paperless Approach: <\/b>The event was entirely paperless, reducing the need for printed materials and transportation emissions.<\/span><\/p>\n

Biodegradable Badges: <\/b>Delegates and participants wore biodegradable badges that could be planted, containing seeds (marigolds).<\/span><\/p>\n

Biodegradable Cutlery:<\/b> Biodegradable cutlery and glass bottles were used throughout the event.<\/span><\/p>\n

Digital Signages<\/b>: Signages at the airport were primarily digital, reducing the use of printed materials.<\/span><\/p>\n

Wooden Exhibitions<\/b>: 90% of the exhibition space was constructed using wood and featured real plants and reusable materials.<\/span><\/p>\n

Online Platforms:<\/b> All event and media documents were made available online, including brochures, flyers, information booklets, and conference updates.<\/span><\/p>\n
