However, some people miss the noise of an ICE engine.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>What steps are the electric vehicle manufacturer taking to tackle this concern?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>EV manufacturers are offering artificial sound<\/strong> effects that mimic the sound of an ICE engine in order to fulfil the demand of customers.<\/p>\n<p>They are even involving noted musicians to create satisfying sounds for EVs.<\/p>\n<p><strong>People who like the idea of artificial EV sounds argue that<\/strong> it can make these quiet cars safer for people who walk on the road, especially in places like India where people often walk on roads.<\/p>\n<p>However, while the wide choice of fake engine sounds for EVs is a sign of the market&#8217;s evolution, it also means that any vehicle can adopt the sound of any other. <strong>This could lead to a loss of exclusivity.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><strong>What should be done going ahead?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Instead of trying to give customers what they want, <strong>EV manufacturers should focus on reducing noise levels.<\/strong>\u00a0This is because streets are already too noisy in India, and artificial engine sounds could make the problem worse.<\/p>\n<p>In this regard, <strong>Henry Ford&#8217;s statement is noteworthy<\/strong>. He said that if he had asked people what they wanted, he would be trying to make a better horse.
