Origin<\/b><\/td>\nSince the times of Vijayanagara Empire.<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Participation<\/b><\/td>\nDevotees from Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka participate as the <\/span>Mala Malleswara Swamy Temple<\/b>\u00a0is located on the border of these states.<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Rituals<\/b><\/td>\nDevotees visit the temple with weapons like long sticks or lathis for hitting each other with these sticks on the head to get hold of ceremonial idols of local deities.
