What is the Durand Line?<\/b><\/h2>\n

The Durand Line is the 2,640-kilometer (1,640-mile) border between Afghanistan and Pakistan.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

It is the result of an agreement between Sir Mortimer Durand, a secretary of the British Indian government, and Abdur Rahman Khan, the emir, or ruler, of Afghanistan.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The agreement was signed in 1893 in Kabul, Afghanistan.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u200b\u200b<\/span>McMahon Line:<\/b> It serves as the de facto boundary between China and India in the Eastern Sector. It specifically represents the boundary between Arunachal Pradesh and Tibet, from Bhutan in the west to Myanmar in the east.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2013 China has historically disputed the boundary and claims the state of Arunachal Pradesh as part of the Tibetan Autonomous Region (TAR).<\/span><\/p>\n

Radcliffe Line:<\/b> It <\/span>refers to the boundary line demarcated by British lawyer Sir Cyril Radcliffe during the partition of British India in 1947.This line divided the provinces of Punjab and Bengal into two separate territories: India and Pakistan.<\/span><\/p>\n
