It offers an effective means for monitoring and conserving biodiversity in both freshwater and marine ecosystems.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>What is Environmental DNA(eDNA)?<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Environmental DNA (eDNA) refers to genetic material that organisms shed into their environment. It can be found in various environmental sources such as soil, water or air.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This genetic material is derived from shed skin cells, mucus, urine, feces, hair or any organic material released by organisms into their surroundings.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Significance:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> eDNA is a powerful tool used in environmental monitoring and biodiversity studies.
