Why in the News?<\/h2>\n

The Union Health Ministry has decided to rename the Ayushman Bharat-Health and Wellness Centres to \u201cAyushman Arogya Mandir\u201d<\/strong>.These centers will also have a new tagline \u2014\u2018Arogyam Parmam Dhanam\u2019<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Services Provided by AB-HWCs<\/b><\/td>\n1) Maternal and child health care
\n<\/span>2) Services to address communicable and non-communicable diseases
\n<\/span>3) Services for elderly and palliative care
\n<\/span>4) <\/span>Free essential medicines and diagnostic services
\n<\/span>5) Tele-consultation and health promotion including wellness activities like Yoga.<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Target<\/b><\/td>\n1.5 lakh Health and Wellness Centers(HWCs) to be established.
\n<\/span>Till now, 1.6 lakh HWCs have been established, which is more than the target.<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Funding<\/b><\/td>\n60% funding by center and 40% by states.<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
