The International Labour Organization (ILO) has released a report titled \u201cA Call for safer and healthier working environments\u201d<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The report will be discussed at the 23rd World Congress on Safety and Health at Work<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Work Related Deaths<\/b><\/td>\nAround 30 lakh workers globally die due to work-related accidents and diseases. Over 63% of these deaths occur in the Asia-Pacific region.<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Primary causes of work related deaths<\/b><\/td>\n1) L<\/span>ong working hours (55 hours or more per week)
\n<\/span>2) Exposure to occupational particulate matter, gases and fumes
\n<\/span>3) Occupational injuries.<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Deaths attributed to<\/b><\/td>\n1) Around 26 lakh deaths were due to work related diseases while work accidents resulted in 3.3 lakh deaths.
\n<\/span>2) The diseases that caused most work-related deaths were circulatory diseases, malignant neoplasms and respiratory diseases<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
