The Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs has launched Amplifi 2.0 portal.<\/span><\/p>\n

Features<\/b><\/td>\nThe portal provides data on various services for several cities such as:
\n<\/span>1) Total diesel consumption
\n<\/span>2) Number of water quality samples tested
\n<\/span>3) Average annual healthcare expenditure
\n<\/span>4) Total population residing in slums
\n<\/span>5) Recorded fatalities from road accidents<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Cities on board<\/b><\/td>\n1) Currently, 258 urban local bodies have been onboarded and data for 150 cities is accessible on the platform.
\n2) Eventually, data from the more than 4,000 Urban Local Bodies will be made available on the portal.<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

What is Urban Outcomes Framework 2022?<\/h2>\n

1) Released by: <\/b>Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs.<\/span><\/p>\n

2) Developed by: <\/b>National Institute of Urban Affairs and Ernst and Young<\/span><\/p>\n

3) <\/span>Aim: <\/b>To <\/span>develop a transparent and comprehensive database based on cross-city outcomes across 14 sectors.
\n– It aims to democratize data by making it accessible to all urban stakeholders in the Government, academia, citizenry, and industry.<\/span><\/p>\n

4) <\/span>These 14 sectors are: <\/b>\u00a0Demography, Economy, Education, Energy, Finance, Environment, Governance & ICT, Health, Housing, Mobility, Planning, Safety and Security, Solid Waste Management, Water and Sanitation.<\/span><\/p>\n

5) \u00a0It also encompasses\u00a0the third round of<\/strong><\/span> four indices used to rank cities<\/strong> \u2014 the Ease of Living Index, Municipal Performance Index, Climate Smart Cities Assessment Framework and Data Maturity Assessment Framework.<\/span><\/p>\n

What is the status of Urbanisation in India?<\/h2>\n

1) According to 2011 Census, 37.7 crore people (31% of population<\/strong>) lived in urban areas. By 2030, this is projected to increase in 60 crores or 40%.<\/p>\n

2) In 2011, urban areas contributed <\/strong>63% to the country\u2019s GDP<\/strong> and this is projected to increase to 75% by 2030.<\/span><\/p>\n
