1) Mount Marapi, is an active stratovolcano located in Central Java, Indonesia<\/strong> that has erupted regularly since 1548.<\/p>\n

2) \u00a0It stands 2,891m (9,485ft) high and is situated at a subduction zone, where the Indo-Australian Plate is subducting under the Eurasian Plate.<\/strong><\/p>\n

3)\u00a0Indonesia, part of the Pacific Ring of Fire<\/strong>, experiences significant volcanic and seismic activity, boasting nearly 130 active volcanoes.<\/p>\n

What is the Pacific Ring of Fire?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

1) The Pacific Ring of Fire, also known as circum-Pacific belt,<\/strong> is a path along the Pacific Ocean characterized by active volcanoes and frequent earthquakes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

2) It accounts for 75% of world’s volcanoes and 90% of earthquakes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

3) It is home to over 450 volcanoes, including three of the world\u2019s four most active volcanoes \u2013 Mount St. Helens in the USA, Mount Fuji in Japan and Mount Pinatubo in the Philippines.<\/p>\n
