{"id":274905,"date":"2023-12-23T16:49:41","date_gmt":"2023-12-23T11:19:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/?p=274905"},"modified":"2023-12-23T16:49:41","modified_gmt":"2023-12-23T11:19:41","slug":"day-nrlm-shgs-ministry-of-rural-development-signs-mou-with-jiomart","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/day-nrlm-shgs-ministry-of-rural-development-signs-mou-with-jiomart\/","title":{"rendered":"DAY-NRLM SHGs: Ministry of Rural Development signs MOU with JioMart"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Source-<\/strong> This post is based on the article &#8220;<strong>Ministry of Rural Development signs MoU with Reliance Retail\u2019s JioMart, to on-board DAY-NRLM\u2019s SHGs<\/strong>&#8221; published in &#8220;<strong>PIB<\/strong>&#8221; on 22nd December 2023.<\/p>\n<h2>Why in the News?<\/h2>\n<p>The Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with JioMart to onboard DAY-NRLM&#8217;s Self Help Groups (SHGs).<\/p>\n<h2>What is the objective of this partnership?<\/h2>\n<p>1) This collaboration will enable <a href=\"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/self-help-groups\/#:~:text=Self%2DHelp%20Groups%20(SHGs),access%20to%20formal%20financial%20institutions.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SHGs<\/a> operating under the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana-National Rural Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NRLM) to be <strong>on-boarded as sellers onto the e-commerce fold on JioMart<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>2) Once on-boarded, all SHG sellers associated with the DAY-NRLM will also get to avail benefits and guidance in growing their businesses online.<\/p>\n<p>3) <strong>Significance:<\/strong><br \/>\na. Amplify the visibility of their products and <strong>widen their market<\/strong>.<br \/>\nb. <strong>Increase the income of SHGs<\/strong> on sustainable basis.<br \/>\nc.
