height: 30px;\">PSLV-C58<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr style=\"height: 30px;\">\n<td style=\"width: 28.303%; height: 30px;\"><strong>Payloads<\/strong><\/td>\n<td style=\"width: 71.697%; height: 30px;\">1) <strong>POLIX<\/strong> (Polarimeter Instrument in X-rays)- it will measure the polarimetry parameters (degree and angle of polarization) in medium X-ray energy range of 8-30 keV photons of astronomical origin.<br \/>\n2) <strong>XSPECT<\/strong> (X-ray Spectroscopy and Timing)- it will give spectroscopic information and observe several types of sources such as X-ray pulsars, blackhole binaries, low-magnetic field neutron star etc.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr style=\"height: 30px;\">\n<td style=\"width: 28.303%; height: 30px;\"><strong>Significance<\/strong><\/td>\n<td style=\"width: 71.697%; height: 30px;\">1) It is <strong>India\u2019s first and the world\u2019s second polarimetry mission<\/strong>, after NASA\u2019s Imaging X-ray Polarimetry Explorer (IXPE).<br \/>\n2) XPoSat will become <strong>India\u2019s third space-based observatory<\/strong> after the recently launched solar mission <strong>Aditya-L1<\/strong> and <strong>AstroSat<\/strong> launched in 2015.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<table style=\"width: 100%; border-collapse: collapse; border-style: solid;\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"width: 100%;\">For more information on XPoSat Click <a href=\"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/x-ray-polarimeter-satellite-xposat-mission-isro-is-set-to-launch-it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>here to read<\/strong><\/a><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<h2><strong>What are the other 10 Payloads onboard PSLV C58 Rocket?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>1) ISRO has utilized the <strong>PSLV Orbital Experimental Module (POEM) platform for the third time<\/strong> to achieve the objectives of 10 other payloads.<\/p>\n<p>2) Under this, after injecting XPoSat in its orbit, the <strong>fourth stage of the launch vehicle<\/strong> was fired twice to bring it down to 350-km orbit where it will be <strong>used as a platform for experiments<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>3) Among these 10 payloads the <strong>Fuel cell Power System (FCPS) payload <\/strong>(designed by ISRO\u2019s Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre)\u00a0is significant as it has <strong>potential applications in India\u2019s space station<\/strong> which is proposed to come up by 2035.<\/p>\n<p>4) POEM&#8217;s experiments include the <strong>Women Engineered Satellite (WESAT)<\/strong> by LBS Institute of Technology for Women, which examines solar irradiance and UV index.<\/p>\n<p>5) Additional experiments cover radiation shielding, amateur radio, three propulsion systems by space start-ups, an inter-planetary dust count experiment by Physical Research Laboratory, and a <strong>silicon-based high-energy cell<\/strong> by VSSC.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>What is ISRO&#8217;s &#8216;POEM&#8217;
