A 45-member UAE Land Forces group has arrived in India for the inaugural India-UAE Joint Military Exercise, ‘DESERT CYCLONE.’<\/p>\n

What is ‘DESERT CYCLONE’?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
Aspect<\/strong><\/td>\nDetails<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
What is it?<\/strong><\/td>\nIt is a joint military exercise between India and UAE.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Aim<\/strong><\/td>\n1) To improve interoperability in Sub-conventional Operations, including Fighting in Built-Up Area (FIBUA)<\/strong> in desert\/semi-desert terrain under Chapter VII<\/strong> of the UN Charter on Peacekeeping Operations.
\n2) To achieve shared security objectives and foster bilateral relations between two friendly nations.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Started in\u00a0<\/strong><\/td>\n2024 (First Edition<\/strong>)<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Participating contingents<\/strong><\/td>\n1) Indian Army<\/strong>– Represented by a Battalion from the Mechanised Infantry Regiment.
\n2) UAE-<\/strong> Represented by troops from the Zayed First Brigade.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Significance<\/strong><\/td>\n1) It will enhance cooperation and interoperability between both the sides during Peace Keeping Operations.
