Government has shown concern over inadequate efforts taken by Internet giant like Facebook and YouTube to curb circulation of videos of sexual violence against women and children.<\/p>\n<p>3. Thus government want \u201cstricter directions\u201d to these service providers from the Supreme Court<\/p>\n<p>4. Direction seeks to reduce the time taken to remove the inappropriate content from these websites to 10 hours from existing 36 hours<\/p>\n<p>5. Particularly government focusing on videos related to child pornography and rape.<\/p>\n<p>6. Government wants service provider (e.g. Facebook) should employ an agency for identification and removal of content and include Monitoring tool.<\/p>\n<p>7. Major concern of the government is tracing the origin of unlawful data.<\/p>\n<p>8. However despite of Supreme Court order, the compliance by the service providers to provide data was mediocre.<\/p>\n<p>9. Recently intermediaries WhatsApp has refused to provide certain data with law enforcement agencies to identify the origin of fake news.<\/p>\n<p>10. Currently, on the issue of assistance to law enforcement agencies on identification of offender, the response is often delayed and Meta data of end to end communication is not provided.<\/p>\n<p>11. Government has provided list of over 500 words in English and Hindi to service providers to issue warning message when end user try to search videos of sexually violence.<\/p>\n<p>12.
