Recently, the US state of Alabama used nitrogen gas to execute a man as directed by a federal appeals court.<\/p>\n

What is the Process?<\/h2>\n

1) Nitrogen gas execution entails administering pure nitrogen<\/span> to the individual facing execution.<\/p>\n

2) This method usually involves placing a respirator-type face mask over the nose and mouth, displacing breathable air with nitrogen<\/span>. It will ultimately lead to death due to oxygen deprivation. (This process is also called nitrogen hypoxia)<\/p>\n

3) The state anticipates that the gas will induce unconsciousness in the inmate within seconds, followed by death within minutes.<\/p>\n

4) Critics say the new method may be risky and violate constitutional bans on cruel punishment.<\/span><\/p>\n

About Nitrogen gas<\/h2>\n

1) Nitrogen gas is a colorless, odorless gas<\/span> that makes up a significant portion of Earth’s atmosphere.<\/p>\n

2) It is composed mainly of nitrogen molecules (N2)<\/span> and is essential for various biological and industrial processes<\/p>\n

3) It is\u00a0commonly used in industries such as food packaging, electronics manufacturing, and as an inert gas for various purposes<\/span>.<\/p>\n
