On one hand, India has been engaging with the military junta to control insurgent groups operating along the India Myanmar border. On the other hand, India also favours the establishment of federal democracy in Myanmar.<\/p>\n<p>2. <strong>Misuse of Free movement regime-<\/strong> The Free Movement Regime between India and Myanmar is being <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">exploited by militants and cross-border criminals<\/span> for the illegal transportation of weapons, contraband goods, and counterfeit Indian currency.<\/p>\n<p>3. <strong>Refugee Influx-<\/strong> The ongoing violence and instability in Myanmar have led to a surge in the number of refugees fleeing to India. <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Over 54,100 Myanmar nationals<\/span> have sought <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">refuge<\/span> in the Indian states of <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Arunachal Pradesh<\/span>, <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Mizoram<\/span>, <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Manipur<\/span>, and <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Nagaland<\/span>. These illegal migration of Rohingyas, Chins pose grave security concerns for India.<\/p>\n<p>4. <strong>Northeast insurgency and Drug Menace<\/strong>&#8211; Myanmar-China border is the <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">hotbed of local armed separatist groups<\/span> operating in Myanmar soil and Indian groups, ranging from <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">ULFA in Assam to the NSCN (IM) in Nagaland<\/span>.
