Kerala’s medical landscape is undergoing a great shift with the introduction of ‘InfexnTM’, a revolutionary next-generation sequencing test. This will be India’s first genomics-based infectious disease test.<\/p>\n

About InfexnTM- A Revolutionary Next-Generation Sequencing Test<\/h2>\n

Description<\/strong>-The ‘infexnTM’ is a state-of-the-art<\/span> targeted next generation sequencing<\/span> test.<\/p>\n

Objective<\/strong>– To detect any bacterial and\/or fungal infection<\/span> along with detection of relevant antimicrobial resistance<\/span> genes, within 24 hours.<\/span><\/p>\n

Developed by<\/strong>– IIT-Bombay<\/span>-based HaystackAnalytics and NIMS Medicity<\/span> at Neyyattinkara.<\/p>\n

Features<\/strong>-1) The test is a kit-cum-software solution<\/span> and can be performed within a hospital.
\n2) It is “Made in India, Made for the World” test.<\/p>\n

Significance of InfexnTM<\/h2>\n

1) It can empower<\/span> the healthcare ecosystem with advanced, definitive diagnostics<\/span>. This will ensure optimal antibiotic usage<\/span>.<\/p>\n
