The Union Minister of Ports, Shipping & Waterways and Ayush, Shri Sarbananda Sonowal has recently launched \u2018Sagar Aankalan\u2019 guidelines at the Global Maritime India Summit 2023 (GMIS 2023).<\/p>\n

Applicability<\/strong><\/td>\n\u00a0It would be applicable to all Indian seaports<\/span>.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Significance<\/strong><\/td>\n1) It will transform the performance assessment of Indian ports<\/span>
\n2) It will help in fulfilling \u201cMaritime Amrit Kaal Vision 2047<\/span>” announced by the Prime Minister.
\n3) It will help in port development<\/span>, modernization<\/span>, green hydrogen<\/span> and ammonia, port-led development<\/span>, cruise sector, business and commerce, shipbuilding, and knowledge sharing.
\n4) It would ensure the realisation of the full potential<\/span> of the maritime sector. This will drive inclusive growth<\/span> and prosperity<\/span> for all stakeholders.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
