Is a quasar just a black hole?<\/strong><\/td>\nYes, a quasar is just a black hole<\/span>. However, it is a supermassive black hole<\/span> that is growing rapidly by gobbling up<\/span> huge amounts of gas.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

Some important points about J0529-4351<\/h2>\n

1) It is the brightest<\/span> and the fastest-growing<\/span> quasar discovered so far.<\/p>\n

2) It is a quasar with a central supermassive black hole<\/span> accumulating material at the rate of the mass of 370 Sun-like stars per year \u2014 about one Sun per day.<\/p>\n

3)\u00a0 It is over 500 trillion times<\/span> more luminous<\/span> than the Sun.<\/p>\n
