{"id":28383,"date":"2018-10-24T12:06:14","date_gmt":"2018-10-24T06:36:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.forumias.com\/?p=28383"},"modified":"2018-10-24T12:06:14","modified_gmt":"2018-10-24T06:36:14","slug":"survey-launched-to-rank-states-on-rural-cleanliness","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/survey-launched-to-rank-states-on-rural-cleanliness\/","title":{"rendered":"Survey launched to rank States on rural cleanliness"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thehindu.com\/news\/national\/survey-launched-to-rank-states-on-rural-cleanliness\/article24414126.ece\">Survey launched to rank States on rural cleanliness<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong><u>News:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>The Centre has launched the SwacchSurvekshanGrameen, 2018, a nationwide survey of rural India.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong><u>Important facts:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li>The survey will rank the cleanest and dirtiest States and districts on the basis of qualitative and quantitative evaluations.<\/li>\n<li>Around 6, 980 villages across 698 districts will survey.<\/li>\n<li>The SwachhSurvekshanGrameen award will be given on\u00a0October 2, Mahatma Gandhi\u2019s birth anniversary.<\/li>\n<li>This is the first comprehensive survey for rural India.<\/li>\n<li>Earlier, three successful editions of a similar survey in urban India were conducted.<\/li>\n<li>The ranking will be based on three parameters:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li>Direct observation of public places by independent surveyors,<\/li>\n<li>service-level progress using data from the Swachh Bharat Mission\u2019s information system<\/li>\n<li>Citizens\u2019 feedback: through village meetings, online feedback, and direct interviews as well as discussion with key influences such as local officials, elected representatives and anganwadi workers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol start=\"8\">\n<li>An audio-visual publicity campaign, featuring Swachh Bharat ambassadors Amitabh Bachchan and Sachin Tendulkar, was also launched.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Survey launched to rank States on rural cleanliness News: The Centre has launched the SwacchSurvekshanGrameen, 2018, a nationwide survey of rural India.
