Why in the News?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Recently, the Minister of Education and Skill Development & Entrepreneurship launched the Rashtriya Udyamita Vikas Pariyojana in Sambalpur, Odisha.<\/p>\n

What is Rashtriya Udyamita Vikas Pariyojana?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

1. About<\/strong>– Designed for PM SVANidhi scheme beneficiaries<\/span>, this unique National Entrepreneurship Development Project under Skill India Mission<\/a> reflects the government’s commitment to fostering job creation across the nation.<\/p>\n

2. Objective:
\na.<\/strong> Its goal is to provide individuals with comprehensive entrepreneurship training<\/span>, creating job providers instead of job seekers.
\nb.<\/strong> This initiative emphasizes the reskilling<\/span> and upskilling of employees<\/span> to boost their competitiveness and adaptability in an age of disruptive technology.<\/p>\n

4. Training:<\/strong>
\na.<\/strong> It will provide extensive entrepreneurship training for 22 weeks<\/span>, integrating theoretical understanding with practical experience through hands-on learning.
\nb.<\/strong> The training will be delivered via offline<\/span>, online<\/span>, and hybrid methods<\/span>. The certificates<\/span> granted upon completion<\/span> to enhance the course’s credibility and significance.<\/p>\n

5.<\/strong> Collaboration<\/strong>– The Government of India has collaborated with Flipkart<\/span> to provide training to street vendors and small shopkeepers.<\/p>\n

6. Pilot phase<\/strong>– In the pilot program, street vendors from 10 major cities across the country will receive both training<\/span> and a stipend<\/span> to help expand their businesses.<\/p>\n

Note<\/strong>– In the pilot phase, the project focuses on ensuring 40% participation by women<\/span>.<\/p>\n

What is PM SVANidhi Scheme?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Launched in<\/strong>: 2020<\/p>\n

Nodal Ministry:<\/strong> Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA)<\/p>\n

Type:<\/strong> Central Sector Scheme<\/p>\n

Purpose:<\/strong> It is a micro credit scheme for urban street vendors that aims to provide collateral-free working capital loans up to \u20b950,000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
