{"id":28424,"date":"2018-10-24T12:21:22","date_gmt":"2018-10-24T06:51:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.forumias.com\/?p=28424"},"modified":"2018-10-24T12:21:22","modified_gmt":"2018-10-24T06:51:22","slug":"60-of-indian-computers-are-vulnerable-avast-cto","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/60-of-indian-computers-are-vulnerable-avast-cto\/","title":{"rendered":"60% of Indian computers are vulnerable: Avast CTO"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thehindu.com\/todays-paper\/tp-national\/60-of-indian-computers-vulnerable\/article24384076.ece\">60% of Indian computers are vulnerable: Avast CTO<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>News:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>With Increasing Internet\u00a0penetration in the country, India can follow Japanese way to prevent cyber attacks.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Important facts:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li>To put its IT infrastructure under a protective shield, Japan last year brought stringent regulatory mechanism.<\/li>\n<li>India can also follow the same consider the growing internet penetration in the country.<\/li>\n<li><u> <\/u><strong>Country wise figures:<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong><u>India:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Over 60% of the personal computers in India were vulnerable to cyber crimes.<\/li>\n<li>As per the figures around\u00a0as 18% of routers, 17% phones, 14% printers, 25% network associated storages, 4% security cameras and 2% media boxes too were vulnerable to threats in India.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><u>Japan:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>In comparison, only 9% of personal computers, 3% phones, 25% of routers, 16% of printers and 23% of security cameras in Japan were under threat.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><u>Hong Kong:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>In Hong Kong, about\u00a045% of personal computers were vulnerable to cyber attacks.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><u>China and Singapore:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The percentage for China, the U.S. and Singapore were 39%, 38% and 33% respectively.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol start=\"4\">\n<li><strong> Precautionary measures:<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li>Most countries are taking precautionary steps with respect to hardware devices.<\/li>\n<li>Government \u2013enabled regulations can prevent cyber crimes with the growth of Internet of Things (IoT).<\/li>\n<li>Artificial Intelligence (AI) will play a key role in IoT safety.<\/li>\n<li>In future, AI will identify malicious and legitimate behaviour.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>60% of Indian computers are vulnerable: Avast CTO News: With Increasing Internet\u00a0penetration in the country, India can follow Japanese way to prevent cyber attacks.
