Significance<\/td>\n1. In Brazil and South Africa, jacaranda trees carry cultural significance.<\/span> Their blossoming marks the onset of spring and are planted in urban environments.
\n2. Jacaranda has been\u00a0used as a natural remedy<\/span> for treating bacterial infections, gonorrhoea, syphilis and leukaemia.
