    3. China wants to develop special ties with the Himalayan neighbor.<\/p>\n

    4. China-Nepal ties would be docked with India\u2019s shared interest as well.<\/p>\n

    China\u2019s 2+1 format:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

    5. China proposed 2+1 format for India talks.<\/p>\n

    6. This is different from a trilateral mechanism.<\/p>\n

    7. Under the Chinese proposal, China and India can jointly conduct a dialogue with a third regional country.<\/p>\n
