Recently, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade proposed Uttar Poorva Transformative Industrialization Scheme, 2024 (UNNATI \u2013 2024).<\/p>\n

Description<\/strong><\/td>\ni) Uttar Poorva Transformative Industrialization Scheme, 2024 (UNNATI \u2013 2024) is\u00a0for the development of Industries and generation of employment in the states of<\/span> North East Region<\/a>.
\nii) It is a<\/span> central sector scheme.\u00a0<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Objective<\/strong><\/td>\nTo generate gainful employment,<\/span> leading to the overall socio-economic development.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Concerned Ministry<\/strong><\/td>\nMinistry of Commerce and Industry<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Funding<\/b><\/td>\nRs.10,037 crore<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Duration<\/b><\/td>\n10 years from the date of notification along with 8 years for committed liabilities<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Features<\/b><\/td>\ni) Commencement of Production or operation<\/span>: All eligible Industrial Units to commence their production or operation within 4 years from the grant of registration.
\nii) Districts are categorized in two zones<\/span>: Zone A (Industrially Advanced Districts) & Zone B (Industrially Backward Districts)
\niii) Earmarking of funds<\/span>: 60% of the outlay of Part A has been earmarked to 8 NE states and 40% on First-In-First-Out (FIFO) basis.
\niv) All new Industrial units and Expanding units would be eligible for the respective incentives.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Benefits<\/strong><\/td>\ni) It will create productive economic activity<\/span> in the manufacturing and service sectors.
\nii) It is anticipated that direct employment opportunities<\/span> for about\u00a083,000 individuals\u00a0will be generated during the scheme period, with additional indirect employment.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
