About <\/strong>– The National Highways Infra Trust (NHIT) is an Infrastructure Investment Trust sponsored<\/span> by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI)<\/span>.<\/p>\n 2. Aim <\/strong>– It aims to undertake the investment activities as an Infrastructure Investment Trust(InviT).<\/p>\n 3. Established in<\/strong>–\u00a0 2021<\/p>\n 1. About<\/strong>– InvITs are instruments that work like mutual funds<\/span>. They are designed to pool small sums of money from a number of investors<\/span> to invest in infrastructure assets<\/span> that give cash returns over a period of time.<\/p>\n 2. Listing<\/strong>– InvITs are listed on exchanges just like stocks<\/span> \u2014 through Initial Public Offerings (IPOs)<\/a>.<\/p>\n 3. Regulated by-<\/strong>\u00a0InvITs are regulated by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI)<\/a> (Infrastructure Investment Trusts) Regulations, 2014.<\/p>\n 1. About<\/strong>– It is a Trust established by NHAI under the Indian Trusts Act, 1882 and SEBI regulations.<\/p>\n 2. Approval<\/strong>– In December 2019, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Cabinet approved NHAI’s Infrastructure Investment Trust (InvIT). NHAI launched its InvIT in 2021.<\/p>\n 3.
