The “Mother of Dragons” comet, formally designated as Comet 12P\/Pons-Brooks, is currently making a rare appearance in the skies of the Northern Hemisphere.<\/p>\n

1. Type<\/strong>– It is as a ‘Halley-type<\/span>‘ comet, orbiting roughly every 71 years.<\/p>\n

2. Naming<\/strong>– It is named by the European Space Agency (ESA)<\/span>.<\/p>\n

3. Classification<\/strong>– It falls under the classification of a Jupiter-family comet<\/span>. Its\u00a0orbit is affected by the gravitational force of Jupiter.<\/p>\n

4. Composition<\/strong>– It is made up of ice, dust, and rocky elements. When it approaches the Sun, the heat transforms the comet’s ice from solid to gas.<\/p>\n

5. It’s Nearest approach<\/strong> to Earth<\/strong> will occur in June 2024<\/span>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
