Microplastics are<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"> small plastic particles<\/span> in the environment that are<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"> generally smaller than 1 mm to the 1 micrometer range.<\/span> Microplastics can be formed by<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"> fragmentation of large plastic waste material.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">2. <strong>Danger of Microplastics to humanity and overall biodiversity:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">a) Microplastics <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">pass the filtration and treatment processes for wastewater<\/span> resulting in significant global impacts on wildlife from marine environment pollution.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">b) Microplastics <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">kill biodiversity and other organisms&#8217; fish<\/span> before they reach reproductive age. It lead to stunted growth and behaviour change in some organisms.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">c) Large amounts of <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">plastic are not recycled and end up in landfills<\/span>, posing a threat to human health.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">d) The durable properties of plastics make them <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">persistent and slow to degrade in the environment entering the food chains<\/span>.
