It is the world\u2019s <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">largest man-made lake<\/span> and reservoir by volume.<\/p>\n<p>2. It lies approximately 1,300 kilometres upstream from the Indian Ocean, along the<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"> border between Zambia and Zimbabwe. <\/span><\/p>\n<p>3. The Kariba dam is a double curvature concrete arch dam in the Kariba gorge of the <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Zambezi river basin between Zambia and Zimbabwe.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>4. The wall spans the <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Kariba Gorge,<\/span> forming a boundary between<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"> Zambia and Zimbabwe.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>5. The dam <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">generates substantial electricity<\/span> for both Zambia and Zimbabwe and bolsters a robust commercial fishing industry.<\/p>\n<p>6.
