Investors such as <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">pension funds, mutual funds, insurance companies, banks, and other significant financial institutions from abroad<\/span> are included in Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs).<\/p>\n<p>3. FIIs are crucial to a country&#8217;s financial markets as <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">they enhance liquidity, boost trading volumes, and affect stock prices. <\/span><\/p>\n<p>4. These investors deploy their capital into various financial instruments like <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">stocks, bonds, and derivatives, driven by their strategic investment plans and views on market conditions.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>5. The capital influx from FIIs can <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">positively or negatively impact the local economy,<\/span> influenced by factors including <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">market dynamics, governmental policies, and worldwide economic conditions<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>6.FIIs in India are governed by the <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), and the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). <\/span>They also set the investment limits for them.<\/p>\n<p>7. SEBI has over <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">1450 foreign institutional investors<\/span> registered with it.<\/p>\n<h2>What are green bonds?<\/h2>\n<p>1. <a href=\"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/green-bonds\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Green bonds\u00a0<\/a>are bonds issued by <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">any sovereign entity, inter-governmental groups or alliances and corporates<\/span> with the aim that the <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">proceeds of the bonds are utilised for projects classified as environmentally sustainable. <\/span><\/p>\n<p>The framework for the sovereign green bond was issued by the government on <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">November 9, 2022.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>3. Green bonds are specifically designed <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">to fund environmentally friendly initiatives.<\/span> The projects they finance can include <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">renewable energy, energy efficiency, clean transportation, sustainable agriculture, and more.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>4.
