{"id":29165,"date":"2018-10-24T17:25:40","date_gmt":"2018-10-24T11:55:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.forumias.com\/?p=29165"},"modified":"2018-10-24T17:25:40","modified_gmt":"2018-10-24T11:55:40","slug":"government-schools-to-get-grants-for-buying-sports-equipment","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/government-schools-to-get-grants-for-buying-sports-equipment\/","title":{"rendered":"Government schools to get grants for buying sports equipment"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Government schools to get grants for buying sports equipment<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>News:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>To promote sports in schools, central government has decided to grants fund to school for sports equipment.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Important Facts:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>The grants for sports are an integral part of Samagra Shiksha Scheme.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Note: Samagra Shiksha a scheme provide to make school education an integrated whole from pre-school to Class-12.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>According to Ministry of Human Resource Development the government will provide every year money to all 11.5 lakh government schools for the purchase of sports equipment which include:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li>Primary school will receive \u20b95,000 for sports equipment.<\/li>\n<li>Upper primary school will receive \u20b910,000.<\/li>\n<li>Secondary and senior secondary school will receive \u20b925,000.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol>\n<li>At least minimum of one hour\u00a0 to be given daily for sports activity.<\/li>\n<li>Sachin Tendulkar in his maiden speech highlighted that sports should be seen as important as School Curriculum.<\/li>\n<li>The government has paid attention to learning outcomes to check and overcome the low-quality education.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Government schools to get grants for buying sports equipment News: To promote sports in schools, central government has decided to grants fund to school for sports equipment.
