This helps to remove improve trade and strategic relation between the two countries.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol start=\"8\">\n<li>China\u2019s position globally<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li>US and Europe are not ready to confront China globally<\/li>\n<li>China plays vital role in the maintenance of peace in Korean peninsula<\/li>\n<li>China \u2013Russia improves recently<\/li>\n<li>China establish new equation in West Asia, including with Iran<\/li>\n<li>In south Asia, China positioning itself as an alternative to India<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol start=\"9\">\n<li>Take away of summit<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li>An agreement between the leaders for provision of greater \u2018strategic communications\u2019 at the highest level.<\/li>\n<li>To give \u2018strategic guidance\u2019 to the respective militaries to build trust and understanding for \u2018prudent management of differences with mutual sensitivity\u2019.<\/li>\n<li>To work together jointly on an economic project in Afghanistan.<\/li>\n<li>Both have agreed on the importance of maintaining peace and tranquility in all areas of the India-China border.<\/li>\n<li>Both sides reiterated the need to cooperate on counter-terrorism.<\/li>\n<li>The summit appears to have reinforced the validity of 2005 document \u2018Political Parameters and Guiding Principles for the Settlement of the Boundary Question\u2019, which was signed by then Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and the then Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol start=\"10\">\n<li>Concerns over the summit<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li>Doklam issue not discussed<\/li>\n<li>No change in China\u2019s stand over Arunachal Pradesh<\/li>\n<li>China\u2019s penetration of India\u2019s neighbourhood is set to continue, with special emphasis on countries such as Nepal and the Maldives.<\/li>\n<li>China-Pakistan Economic Corridor remains unresolved.<\/li>\n<li>China focuses on building strong naval and air defences, bolstered by the infusion of high technology.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol start=\"11\">\n<li>India should be concerned about Beijing\u2019s defence budget for 2018 which increased by 8.1% over that of the previous year, to build a world class military.
