Indian nationals can now be issued <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">long-term<\/span>, <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">multi-entry Schengen visas<\/span> valid for <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">two years<\/span> after having obtained and used two visas in the past three years<\/p>\n<h2>About Schengen visas<\/h2>\n<p>1. It is an official document <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">necessary for non-Europeans<\/span> to <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">travel to all the 29 countries<\/span> which are part of the Schengen area.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong> The Schengen area <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">consists of 29 European countries <span style=\"color: #333333;\">of which<\/span> 25 are EU states<\/span> (Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Estonia, Greece, Spain, France, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Hungary, Malta, Netherlands, Austria, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, Slovakia, Finland and Sweden, along with Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland).<\/p>\n<p>2. Schengen visas<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"> permits holders to freely move within the Schengen zone for short visits,<\/span> capped at 90 days within any period of 180 days.<\/p>\n<p>3. These visas <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">do not authorize employment.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Significance of New Visa Multiple Entry Visa System<\/h2>\n<p>1. The<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"> new visa system<\/span> will facilitate <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">easier access for Indian nationals to multi-year visas. <span style=\"color: #333333;\">This will be<\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #333333;\"> available to all those with a proven travel history and provided their passport&#8217;s validity permits.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>2. This measure was adopted within the <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">framework of the EU-India Common Agenda on Migration and Mobility. This <\/span>aims to broaden the <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">collaboration on migration policies between the EU and India.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>3.
