In this autonomous region, there could be<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"> a separate governing body-<\/span>\u00a0like a Legislature or Council of Ministers, or both.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #333333;\"><strong>3.More power as compared to sixth schedule areas-<\/strong> This arrangement represents a significant advancement compared to the existing governance structure outlined in the<\/span> <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Sixth Schedule. <\/span>Unlike the councils established under the Sixth Schedule, which have limited authority over law enforcement and financial matters, <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Article 244(A) provides for greater autonomy,<\/span> particularly in terms of law and order control, to tribal areas.<\/p>\n<h2>About Diphu<\/h2>\n<p>1. Diphu is the<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"> least densely populated among Assam\u2019s 14 Lok Sabha constituencies.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>2. It is designated as a reserved constituency for Scheduled Tribes (STs).<\/p>\n<p>3. It encompasses six legislative Assembly segments across three tribal-majority hill districts of Assam: <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Karbi Anglong, West Karbi Anglong, and Dima Hasao.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>3. It is governed under the <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Sixth Schedule of the Constitution. <\/span><\/p>\n<p>4. These districts are under the jurisdiction of <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">two autonomous councils:<\/span> <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) and the North Cachar Hills Autonomous Council.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>5.
