This project aims to <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">enhance the capacity of the aviation industry<\/span> to <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">handle the increasing domestic passenger numbers<\/span>, which has been predicted to double by 2030.<\/p>\n<h2>About Project ISHAN<\/h2>\n<p><strong>1. About Project ISHAN:<\/strong> It is an <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">integration initiative<\/span> which seek<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"> to merge India&#8217;s four Flight Information Regions (FIRs)<\/span> in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Chennai into <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">one airspace around Nagpur.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong> In aviation, a flight information region (FIR) is a specified region of airspace in which a flight information service and an alerting service (ALRS) are provided.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2. Aim:<\/strong> The<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><span style=\"color: #333333;\"> aim<\/span> <span style=\"color: #333333;\">behind the initiative is <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">to reduce carbon footprint, enhance safety,<\/span><\/span><\/span> and<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><span style=\"color: #333333;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"> reduce aircraft fuel usage.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>3. Advantages:<\/strong> A single flight information region (FIR) created as part of Project ISHAN would offer numerous advantages in terms of <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">safety, efficiency, user satisfaction, reduced carbon footprint, <span style=\"color: #333333;\">and<\/span> optimal manpower utilization.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>4.
