Why in News<\/h2>\n

UN has warned of starvation related deaths in the Darfur Region of Sudan<\/span> as people are being forced to eat ‘grass and peanut shells’ due to food scarcity amidst the ongoing civil war.<\/p>\n

Recently,violent clashes erupted between the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in Sudan, resulting in the displacement of more than 8.6 million people, including internally displaced people (IDPs), asylum seekers and refugees.<\/p>\n

About the Darfur Region<\/h2>\n

It is a region in western Sudan<\/span>. The has been an ongoing civil war between the Arab and African communities<\/span>. This has led to widespread violence and human rights abuses.<\/p>\n
