Large quantities of semal trees are cut in south Rajasthan and sold in Udaipur for Holi festivities, violating the <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Rajasthan Forest Act 1953 and the Forest (Conservation) Act 1980. <\/span>Once abundant, the crimson semal flower has become a rare sight in the region due to extensive cutting.<\/p>\n<p>3. The semal tree offers various benefits and uses beyond its decorative appeal:<\/p>\n<p><strong>i) Medicinal Properties:<\/strong> Its bark, leaves, and seeds are utilized in traditional medicine to treat ailments like fever, diarrhoea, and skin conditions.
