Secretary of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has recently hosted the inaugural Bharat Parva event at the ongoing Cannes Film Festival.<\/p>\n

Organized by<\/strong>-The event was organized at 77th Cannes Film Festival, by NFDC in association with FICCI under the aegis of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting<\/span>, Government of India.<\/p>\n

Major Activity<\/strong>-The evening featured singer Sunanda Sharma performing lively Punjabi songs, joined by emerging singers Pragati, Arjun, and Shaan’s son, Maahi. The highlight was when all the singers came together to perform “Maa Tujhe Salaam,” receiving enthusiastic applause from the audience.<\/p>\n

What is its significance?<\/h2>\n

1) The event celebrated India’s diverse culture<\/span>, cuisine<\/span>, handicrafts<\/span>, and cinema<\/span> on the French Riviera.<\/p>\n

2) It was marked by the celebration of cinema, culture, and artistic unity. This has showcased India’s soft power<\/span> on the international platform.<\/p>\n

3) The participation of renowned Indian actors underscored the diverse and vibrant essence of Indian cinema and its increasing influence<\/span> on the international platform<\/span>.<\/p>\n

Note<\/strong>– Cannes Film Festival<\/strong>-The Festival was born in 1938 from an idea by Philippe Erlanger. Aborted by the war, the project was taken up by Jean Zay and Albert Sarrault.<\/p>\n
