The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has announced two innovative proposals-5G Intelligent Village<\/span> and Quantum Encryption Algorithm (QEA)<\/span>\u2014to drive technological advancement in the telecom sector.<\/p>\n

About Quantum Encryption Algorithm (QEA)<\/h2>\n

1. Quantum encryption algorithms use quantum computing techniques<\/span> to encrypt messages (classical or quantum) into quantum states that are communicated to and decrypted by the recipient.<\/p>\n

2. Goal: To develop an India-specific Quantum Encryption Algorithm<\/span> for securing digital communications using quantum mechanics.<\/p>\n

3. Features: The algorithm aims to provide unparalleled security<\/span>, advanced encryption capabilities<\/span>, and ultra-fast and efficient encryption<\/span>.\u00a0These proposals will be funded under the Telecom Technology Development Fund (TTDF) scheme of the DoT.<\/p>\n

About Telecom Technology Development Fund (TTDF)<\/h2>\n

1. It was established under the Universal Services Obligation Fund<\/span> (USOF<\/span>) of the DoT, Government of India.<\/p>\n

2. Purpose:<\/strong> To promote the ecosystem for research<\/span>, design<\/span>, prototyping<\/span>, proof of concept testing<\/span>, IPR creation<\/span>, field testing<\/span>, security<\/span>, certification<\/span>, and manufacturing of telecom products<\/span>.<\/p>\n
